Breeders (2018)
Breeders is a short documentary exploring the influence social norms exert on women when choosing whether or not to become mothers. We collected the testimonies of women of various ages of their relationship with the concept of motherhood. We also spoke to Meghan Daum, author of Selfish, Shallow and Self-Absorbed : Sixteen Writers on the Decision not to Have Kids, as well as psychotherapist Rosa Capricci, who offers support to mothers before, during and after pregnancy. Ultimately, the film portrays the similarities vs. the differences in the perspective through which these various women perceive the role of motherhood.
Montreal Mac & Cheese Week 2015
The City of Montreal loves to organize festivals and contests showcasing their best versions of comfort food — Burger week, Poutine week, Week-ends du Monde, and many more. But when they announced the first Mac & Cheese week in 2015, I was so skeptical that such a simple dish should be at the center of a competition, I had to find out what made it so special. The simplicity of the recipe allowed for Montreal Chefs to let their creativity run wild. I must tell you I was happily proven wrong, and quickly joined the celebration with enthusiasm. Classics achieve a timeless status for a combination of reasons and Macaroni & Cheese has definitely proven it deserves such a label.
Concordia University Baseball Team
Baseball may not attract the crowds it used to once in Montreal, but at the start of the Fall 2015 semester, nothing seems more important to players of Concordia’s Baseball team than their ever-lasting rivalry with McGill.
