Concordia’s journalism program offered a constructive outlet for my wide range of interests. It taught me skills to make the most of every opportunity to learn and evolve. Above everything, it gave me the ability to contribute. The most important thing I learned was that even when perspectives seem impossible to conciliate, individuals and groups holding opposite views can always find a point where their thoughts and experiences intersect. There are no two people so different that they can’t find common ground. That is the perspective I have to share.

Stories let us discover the differences and similarities in our experiences. Literature, art, cinema and music are some of the vehicles that allow our insights and emotions to co-exist in tangible form. We can see through the eyes of others, shift our point of view or reinforce our own. Creating enables order and beauty to emerge out of chaos. I would like a career that allows me to tell as many stories as I possibly can. I want to assist others in expressing themselves. I want to be part of a community of people who want to fill the world with meaning. Creative expression is my vehicle of choice for exploring all that life has to offer.
